Experience a Maori New Year in Queenstown on June with The Matariki Torchlight Hikoi, a walk through the streets of Queenstown and onto Marine Parade where you will be greeted by a breath taking cultural welcome. Proceedings will be kicking off in Earnslaw Park with a traditional Karakia before being guided through our beautiful streets, welcoming in New Zealands Winter in true celebratory style. For the past 44 year, Queenstowns winter has always started with one mother of a party and with this years Winter Festival celebrating its’ 45th birthday, the celebration is only going to be bigger. The Real Journeys Queenstown Winter Festival reflect the diversity and vibrancy of our community. We showcase why we are so proud of our place and invite you to come and share that with us.
