Autum 2021

Autumn is upon us here in Queenstown and winter is just around the corner. Here at Queenstown Holiday Homes we are so looking forward to sharing all that Queenstown has to offer – starting with our glorious autumn colours. Be sure to check out our great rates for Autumn and Winter and book a lovely apartment or home with Queenstown Holiday Homes to share with your family and /or friends.

The trees really are beginning to change colour and there is no better spot to see this than Arrowtown, and while you are there be sure to check out the Arrowtown Autumn Festival which runs April 22 to 26.  Each year people come to take in the stunning scenery and see festival attractions such as the street parade,The Arrow Miners Band and the Buckingham Belles along with many other festivities.  Many long held traditions such as the Art Exhibition at the Lakes District Museum, the grand parade and markets and the Quiz night remain very popular today and each year new events are added to the programme mix to keep it fresh and interesting.  While the Festival has grown over the years and now has around 30 events over 5 days, it still remains very much a community Festival with many locals either performing, volunteering or taking part in some way every year.

The Ski fields are gearing up for what is going to undoubtedly be another excellent season and with two new ski lifts opening up at The Remarkables and Cardrona, we can’t wait to hit the slopes.  We thought that last season would be very different considering the Covid restrictions, but it was spectacular.  This year with things returning to “normal” we are expecting an even better ski season. Both NZSKI and Cardrona offer 2,3&4 day passes, which are discounted from just a day pass – so be sure to have a look.

We are also excited for this year LUMA LIghts Festival.  Running the whole of Queens Birthday Weekend, come down to the Queenstown Botanical Gardens and experience all that the wonderful light show has to offfer.  With various exhibitions from all over New Zealand, the Festival of Lights can be spotted from anywhere in Queenstown, so you cannot miss it.

We hope you have managed to keep safe over the last few months and we cannot wait to help you experince your Queenstown Holiday.  It is not too late to book direct with Queenstown Holiday Homes for the school holidays, so don’t hesitate to contact us.  From all of us here at Queenstown Holiday Homes, we wish you safe travels.
