Summer is almost with us and with it comes longer days jam packed with events and activies both friends and family will enjoy. Whether you are wanting to get into the outdoors , stroll the streets of Queenstown or head to the theatre where there is something for you this November.

Set against the backdrop of the Crown Range and The Remarkables Mountain range, the Air New Zealand Queenstown International Marathon return to the Wakatipu basin on the 18th of November.  With options of 42km,21km,10km and 3km runs, taking in some of the bests highlights the area has to offer, including Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown,Lake Hayes,Shotover River, Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Gardens and finishing in the heart of Queenstown itself. The event is topped off with a prize giving at the Queenstown Recreational Ground from 3.30 and is sure to draw a crowd, so even if you are not running get out and suport those who are.

The Arrowtown Farmers Market begins on November 5 and brings together motivated local buyers with the knowledgeable local sellers of produce, added value regional food and beverages and an interesting range of plants and flowers. The market will be held from 10am until 2pm on the Library green on Buckingham St, every Sunday over summer. The market is set up to be a not for profit community led organisation and is fully supported by various local Arrowtown businesses and community groups. Be sure to get out and explore this market and the beautiful Arrowtown setting.

Showbiz Queenstown proudly present Mamma Mia! – the Global Smash hit based on the Songs of ABBA. Running from Nov 8 to 11 be sure to book tickets as any show Queenstown Showbiz puts on is very popular. 

Also in its 8th sell out year – The Thriller, is heralded as one one of the top charity boxing events in New Zealand. This event is on Nov 25 – all proceeds going to Branches Charitable Trust.
