With the mountains closing and the snow slipping off the hills,now is a good time to start looking at booking your summer escape with friends or family to Queesntown.  Rest assured that while October is usually a bit quiet, The Jazz Festival,Eco Faiir and The Millbrook Masters tournament are sure to keep everyone entertained.

Sustainable Queenstown are once again hosting this years Eco Fair, which will feature heaps of fun activities to entertain the whole family. Come to the Frankton Events Centre on October 8 to enjoy live music,food stalls and an array of local sustainable businesses. The Eco Fair 2017 is fun,free and for all the family, so show your support for Sustainable Queenstown and head to The Events Centre for a great day out.

Celebrate the transition from winter to summer with Cardrona Ski Fields closing day on October 16. Sure to be fun for all ages, the day inclusde skiing,snowboarding,a treasure hunt challenge and even Mountain biking. The day wraps up at the Cardrona Village with a party – the event is open to all.

NZSKI advise that The Remarkables Ski Field will close this Sunday October 8. So get up the mountain and enjoy those last few days of skiing in the sun! 

For the first time in 15 years, the annual Millbrook Masters will be held over 5 days from October 23 to 28. Framed by spectacular hillsides around Arrowtown, this years relaxed programme will allow players and spectators to enjoy the warm October sun. The four round tournament will take place at both the Millbrook and Jacks Point golf courses.

The Queenstown Jazzfest is back again for its 40th editiion to deliver four days of live music and entertainment. Running since 1978, the festival has grown into one of Queenstowns most popular event, bringing world-class musicians from throughout the country and around the globe. The festival has grown from humble beginnings back in 1978 to become of of Queenstowns most popular music events, featuring world class musicians from throughout the country and around the globe. From smooth blues to big band swing, dixieland to funk bands, traditional jazz to ground breaking contemporary concepts, there is literally something for everyone, young and old.Running from the 20th to 23rd of October, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved and most importantly to be thoroughly entertained.
