September 2018

This September, things are warming up on and off the snow.  Catch the last few events and closing night of The Winter Games.  Pride has come to Queenstown early this month, Highland Motorsport Park is hosting a high-speed breakfast and Sherwood is holiding its first organic wine festival. The warmer weather,longer days, and thinner crowds make September the perfect time for a holiday in Queenstown with family and/or friends.

Ever wondered what eating pancakes at high speed is like? Well wonder no more, because Highlands Motorsport Park has created your perfect Sunday morning/ Tracklap Breakfast will be taking place every 3rd Sunday of the month on their brand new 4.1km circuit/ You will get to try out a few laps on their circuit and then head to the cafe for a delicious breakfast/ You can register online at The Highlands website/

Winter Pride is a festival encouraging locals and visitors to celebrate diversity in the beautiful Wakatipu basin. Running from September 1 until September 8 and selling over 4000 tickets to event.  Winter Pride is jam packed, from cabaret nights to night skiing, and dance parties to boot, there is something for everyone to get amongst/  This is the event in September that is not to be missed/

The 2018 Audi Winter Games are a celebration of competitive winter sports. It has been running since Aug 23 but has plenty of events across all mountains for audiences to attend. You can still catch the freestyle, Big Air, Giant Slalom and Ice Hockey finals. The closing night is always worth heading along to, watch the final prize giving ceremony and then boogie down to some live music. The whole of the Winter Games has a festival atmosphere that can be felt through the crowds and competitors themselves.

Sunday Sherwood has collaborated with the team at Wine Sentience to create and unforgettable celebration of organics. Running all Sunday Sept 23, the festival showcases 10 different wines and wine makers and an organic market, complete with food stalls. Come along to experience the good wine, Sherwoods legendary Sunday roast, live music and a BBQ. The festival ticket is $10 and kids come free/ There are also two Masterclasses with MW Stephen Wong (ticketed separately at $45) of Wine Sentience on Sunday Sept 23.
